Hello Mac

I have been using a Mac for three weeks now.  All I can say is, why the heck didn't I switch sooner!?!

It did take me a few days to get used the differences, but once I got passed that, I haven't looked back.  I fired up the old desktop PC (running XP) a few days ago and I could not believe how long it took to boot up (granted it is four years old).

It reminds me of the experience that Thomas Hawk had about two years ago.  I think reading about him switching to a Mac sealed the deal for me.  Everything he says in that post I can relate to.

I have been using a PC since I can remember.  I did use Macs originally, both at school and at home.  However at school those were ridiculously ancient Apple IIs that didn't even have hard drives.  We had two floppy drives (the big floppy drives).  One was for booting up whatever program we were using and the other for saving our work.  And none of them had mice.

The company my dad works for was still using Macs in the mid nineties and he would bring a laptop home for me to play on.  But right around the time I actually needed to use a computer for homework, they switched to PCs.  That was the end of using a Mac.

Now that I have made the switch back, more than ten years later, I could not be happier.
