Do you ever go back and listen to an old album and remember why you like it so much? That happened last night when I saw Radiohead live for the first time.
Friends had told me that their live show sounds almost identical to their recordings. Last night confirmed it. There are few bands that do this well (the only other band I have heard do it is Muse). Thom Yorke's voice cut through the mix perfectly, and they even managed to get the distortion on his voice right on. Even their electronic songs sound amazing live. Plus, the light show alone was worth the trip.
I am looking forward to seeing them again. Hopefully I won't have to wait another two years.
